2012 is not the end of the world.....

It's the end of hate, and the re-birthing of LOVE :) What are your values? Morals? Dreams? Hopes? Desires? Needs? Wants? Are those things really what YOU want or are they what society and your elders, teachers, heroes want and so you think you want them too? It's ok if that is really what your passionate about, just be sure that what your going after in life is really what YOU want and only because YOU want it. In the end, when this life is over and your moving onto the next one, are the things you value able to travel with you? Big house, nice cars, lots of money, status - those things aren't carry-on, you have to check those and you never know what they will lose between your departure and your arrival somewhere else. If you had to make an emergency landing, can't you carry happiness, joy, peace, love and compassion alot easier than a Mercedes? Be really sure that what you strive for in life is what lifts you up and not what weighs you down.

There is no wrong or right, up or down, black or white, those are just labels people have to apply to things for "life" to make sense in their logical mind. There is no wrong or right, there just is. Depending on where your standing at what time of day in what country in what time zone anything can be up or down. There is no black or white, there is light and there is the absence of light. Don't put labels on anything and don't let anyone or anything tell you that what you know is right in your heart and soul, is wrong. It's not easy, in fact it's a struggle but if we had everything figured out all the time there would be nothing to strive for, and remember, you never stop learning. Try love before hate and compassion before judgement. What makes you better than anyone else? Anytime you judge anyone before getting to know them or even after, you take a step down and that person(s) takes a step up, you give away your power when you focus negative energy anywhere. Why would you willingly give up your power to someone you don't like very much?? Remember that everytime you spend your time talking bad about someone else, your basically handing them your time and energy instead of concentrating on you and taking care of you.

When we can differentiate between our EGO talking and our HIGHER SELF talking then we can begin to let go of doubt, fear, worry, discrimination (which stems from fear), greediness (also stems from fear), power (fear, fear, fear), hate, war, etc and we can begin to rekindle love, compassion, nurturing, sharing, hugs and kisses, flowers. Who doesn't want peace, really? Where is the love?

Growing up is hard work.

Well it doesn't have to be. I know it's really easy to blame it on your parents or circumstances that "happened to you" but the truth is as soon as your old enough to make the choice between apple juice or grape juice in your sippy cup, you can decide what your life will be like, you just may not know it yet. We grow up relying on our parents to guide us because they tell us right from wrong, their bigger than us and well just because they said so :) when in reality we can choose when to throw a tantrum or not and if were going to cry over spilled milk. As you get older you continue to ask questions about things and rely on your family and friends to give you the "right" answer, so then you evolve believing exactly what they believe and it's all a vicious circle. What if we never asked questions and just grew up relying on our own knowledge aquired before birth? Do you think we would still figure things out, like how to hold a fork or how to chew? How to ride a bike or drive a car? What if we just had to figure it all out on our own instead of other people putting their ideas in our heads and us thinking we had to believe them too?? Imagine figuring out all on your own how to fly a kite for the first time, how exciting!! I think we would be just fine.

Now i don't mean to say that all decisions parents make are wrong or bad, there is no wrong or bad there just is, and it's all practice. I know that mostly all parents and family members do and say things out of love and not wanting to see anyone get hurt, but why ?? Does hurting have to be a bad thing, or can it just be another way to learn valuable lessons?? What if everytime you did something that didn't work out the way you thought it would, your family cheered and jumped up and down and gave you high fives and said "Great job, now go try something else and see if that works for you!!!!" would you mind making mistakes then ?? Why don't we do that?? Why is it so hard to let go and let our kids or friends or lovers make their own choices and see what works for them?? It's still something i work on everyday. I know for a fact that if every kid grew up with people sourrounding them who always cheered them on and never made them feel bad for the decisions they made, our world would be full of ALOT less harm, pollution, pain, and suffering. So why not start now, it's never too late.

My poor daddy had such a handful with me growing up! I did the opposite of what he said just to piss him off, i lied and told him i was going to be places i never was, i had sex with boys and didn't tell him, i smoked cigarettes and wore skimpy clothing, i did and said thing that were mean and hurtful just because it was cool and i was mad, all the time. To be honest, looking back if my dad had just said "good job honey, did that work for you?? No, well just go try something else" I may have loosened up a bit, but i would have made all the same choices for the most part. That's ok with me because i did make those choices sooner or later and i did decide what worked and what didn't for me and i'm proud of how far i've come, although i would have done all those things without so much rebellious blood flowing through my veins. My parents were doing the best they could with what they had at that moment and i love them for that. Most parents are doing what they can with what they have at that particular moment, whether it looks like it or not, it's all a matter of choices. Take it easy on your family, it's all out of love <3

I am 25 years young and as i progress in this physical realm i notice more and more how i am not a physical being at all but a being of light who has taken shape in this beautiful body i inhabit at the moment. I learn new things about myself everyday, emotions and thoughts that i already had i just remember them now. I am already complete in every way possible and i already possess everything i need, and nothing physical holds real value to me. Don't get me wrong i love to shop as much as the next girl but when it comes down to spending time with the people i love and going to a concert, my heart makes that decision for me everytime. Whenever i feel myself getting ready to derail i stop, take a deep breath, and ask "Is the choice i'm about to make right now going to help me grow??". Now i don't always choose what i know is right and i see where that takes me and if i don't like it then next time i know to choose what i knew was right for me all along. It's all a process of creation and every person is different so don't expect your experience to be exactly like anyone else's, your life and your lessons are all tailored to your needs and to what is going to help you evolve. All you have to do is sit back, say "YES!" and enjoy the ride.

Remember you are love and you are light. You are never alone and you have the power to make your life as you so choose. There are no mistakes, just lessons. Let love and be loved. Namaste.

Living up to your full potential

When you enter this life, you do so with everything you need already. All the knowledge and wisdom, beauty and compassion, love and understanding that fills the world with joy. So, who told us that we needed a college degree to go far in life ??? Better yet, why do we believe it ?? We already have everything we need, it's just a matter of accessing it. It's taken me a long time to understand that, I was always wanting to use big words to sound smart and know about geography and politics to try and make a point. Why ??

If you woke up tomorrow with the understanding that all your needs were met, what would you do with your life ?? Your time left here on this planet in human form ?? We already know that there is no "time" it's just what one person decided to break down into seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. Why do we focus on time so much, if were on time or late for "work" (also something else someone made up and society abides by) or how old we are, how fast a week goes by (the calendar system that someone made up) and how you mature (or not in most cases) as you get "older".

I've noticed that me living up to MY full potential means just making everyday a good day. Things as simple as taking the time to take deep breaths when i get frustrated, to set the intention each day that going forward for that day i'm going to have a open heart and an open mind, to not look in the mirror too much as to not focus on physical appearance and to help remind myself that I (we) am (are) much more than a physical being. Small things like reminding myself (ourselves) that everyday is a journey and it's up to me (us) which way I (we) want to navigate it. We come from a divine and perfect idea held in the mind of spirit.

I recently read something from Eckhart Tolle's, A New Earth, it was a story of a king who wanted to "buy" peace and stillness and the wiseman who he asked, gave him a gold ring with the phrase "this too shall pass" engraved on it and told him to always wear that ring and when something happened to him, before he reacted he was supposed to look at the ring and say out loud "this too shall pass". That hit me like a load of bricks, for all the times we freak out or snap and get pissed before evaluating the importance (or non-importance) of the situation we could all stop, take a deep breath, and say "this too shall pass". I have been practicing that since the day i heard it and let me tell you, something as small as that makes all the difference in the world. If you haven't read that book, please do it changed my entire outlook on life and i constantly remind myself of the teachings in that amazing book!!!

When life throws curve balls at you don't duck, take it straight to the gut, it will help you learn. Every situation in life whether viewed "good" or "bad" is a lesson and if you look at it and take what you can from it and then leave the rest behind you will notice yourself evolving into someone you never thought was possible, or you did and are now just happy to recieve it. The important part of that is to take the lesson and LEAVE BEHIND the rest, by holding on to unnecessary anger and hurt doesn't get you anywhere except with less of your power. By holding onto all that negative energy you give that person your energy and your power, why would you want to do that? If you remember nothing else please remember this: nothing happens to you, things happen and you CHOOSE to take them personally. Life and every situation is a choice, you can choose to let it or not let it affect your life. Either way if your in a bad mood because someone did something to you, your actually in a bad mood because someone did something and your CHOOSING to let it affect you. Think about every situation you encounter everyday and then imagine you detaching yourself from taking any of those "things" personally, how would that affect your life ???

First of all all those "things" you think are important, take a moment think how really important they are. When your time here on earth ends, is it gonna matter how much money you made or how much time you spent with your kids?? How you made your way to the top of your company or what a good husband/wife/partner you were?? What a nice car or house you had, or how much you shared with others?? How much you bitched and complained, or how you took time to appreciate the small things in life ?? How angry you were or how grateful you were ?? I am always grateful. Thoughts are things, choose the good ones :)

It's easy being green

Well kermit said it a little differently but you get the point, and i'm sure he would agree that when your doing anything to help our Mother that it IS easy being green :) Now I'm not going to feed you a bunch of unnecessary info about how people are killing the planet because i'm sure we are already aware there is alot of pain here, instead i would like to shed light on the GREAT things people are doing to SAVE the planet, you can just consider this the anti-channel 5 news !! No offense to channel 5 i would just like a program where there is more good than bad being brought to light, not because people shouldn't see the bad to know what is going on, just when that's all you see it makes you sad and kind of overwhelmed and then all the complaining and negative energy starts flowin and, it's just all down hill from there!!

SO here were are, the anti-news spreading the love about the wonderful people around the world doing good for humanity and the planet. I feel better already :) First of all, I LOVE that most stores are getting rid of plastic bags, they are hard to recycle and the are contributing to the melting of the Polar Ice Caps and killing those cute cuddly Polar Bears, BESIDES anything a plastic bag can do; a paper one can do better !!

Secondly I would like to point out that I just recently started a compost pile in my grandmother's front yard !! We eat mostly raw and always tons of veggies, but keep in mind - anything that comes from the earth can put put back in the earth!! So if you want some great nutritous soil to start an organic garden throw all your leftovers in a pile in the yard and wait for the worms to come :) ha ha i know it sounds gross but it's natural and quite beautiful to watch the circle of life in motion.

If you ever eat from that Roach Coach for lunch and you are craving that good organic meal that's cheap and won't sit as a lump in your stomach for the rest of the day, look up http://www.greentruckonthego.com/ and see where they are serving for the day. Ingredients are either local, organic, sustainably raised (such as line-caught small tuna) or vegan, and the two trucks can run on recycled vegetable oil. The truck is solar powered, only uses enviornmentally friendly cleaning products and has all biodegradable packaging. It's all around goodness and it's DELICIOUS!!

I am FULLY obsessed with Toms shoes !!! TOMS Shoes was founded on a simple premise: With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. www.toms.com . One for One. How do you say no to that ?? Simple, you don't. If you can afford a pack of cigarettes and a 12 pack of your favorite beer and a Snickers bar and 2 movie tickets (all of which you don't need) you can afford a pair of these shoes. It's not like your not getting anything, you get a pair of bitchin shoes and you get to feel good about yourself for supplying a small child with a pair of shoes. Besides when you think about it; your liver, your lungs and your feet will thank you :)

I know there are a MILLION more stories like these so as I find them I will post them, but if you know of any please feel free to let me know :) We are all able to do our part, no matter how small a part you think it is, pay it forward. I bought a cutting board from all recycled materials and when i'm done using it i'll email the company who made it, they will send me a pre-paid packaging label, and i'll send it back to them to recycle it again and make another cutting board. So for the rest of my life I will only buy those cutting boards and therefore i will not be using anything but recycled materials. What have you done to help the planet today ??

Small minded living

In my experience with life, human beings have very large brain capacity yet only use a very small portion of it. Regardless of the statistics that say we only use 10% of our brain, I'm talking about a higher brain. The higher you that is aware that it's not your brain speaking at all, in fact it's your ego. I've recently encountered alot of situations in my life where I have to stop and asess a situation i'm in and say to myself, "is this me talking or my ego?"

Your ego is the little voice in your head that tells you your scared, or not good enough. It always fuels the fire when there is drinking involved, some girl looked at your man the wrong way, or even you. It reminds you to take things personally and only think about yourself. Eckhart Tolle says, in A New Earth that when you become aware of when YOUR talking and when your EGO is talking, that it's your first step to higher understanding. When you become aware then you can take a step back and look at the bigger picture, and see that we are all one. One energy field, all connected, kind of like everyone in the world holding hands all the time. You would have to take everyone on the planet with you everywhere you went, right ?? Well we are, basically, energetically holding hands all the time. So when your walking down the street or sitting at the DMV or just standing in line to buy food and you make eye contact with someone and smile or say hello, imagine yourself holding their hands and feeling a very close friendship with that person, wouldn't you want to do that with everyone?? I would !!!

Everyday is a new experience for me, on a very long exciting journey. I get up every morning and "attempt" to meditate (my ego speaking there) I make a smoothie or some hot tea, stretch, exercise a little, read and then carry on with my day. I have recently come to understanding doing something small for myself every morning before everyone wakes up, that feels good and sets a good intention for my day, makes all the difference in the world. This body suit that our souls are living in can sometimes seem to drag us down, but if you just remember that this lifetime is one of many we are going to have and that our thoughts can change anything, hopefully you can see things in a new light.

We are never "born" and we will never "die" we will just leave this physical form we are in at the present moment, to become another energy source on another plane of being.

I notice i learn alot by talking to other people, i especially learn to practice patience :) if you could sit down everyday and look at a printout of how many times you said in one day "I" "me" "not enough" "hate my job" "so expensive" "wish i had more" "wouldn't that be nice" etc, you would be stunned. If everyone in the world cut out the words "I" and "me" and used the words "us" and "we", do you have any idea how that would shift the energy on this planet?? Try it for a day, and if someone says "who are you talking about when you say we?" you can say "you, me, that guy over there, people in Haiti and Chile and Turkey and Africa, people in Skid Row, well basically all people because we are all connected". First of all it would be HILARIOUS to see their reaction but also you might feel more connected, even if just for that moment. What if you did that for a week or a month or a year or the rest of your life, wouldn't that make such a huge difference?? Maybe just try it when your feeling lonely or sad and it's just you and the thoughts in your head, it might make you feel better, it always puts a smile on my face!!

"Life is not a process of discovery; it's a process of creation. You do not live each day to discover what it holds for you, but to create it." - Neale Donald Walsch from "Conversations with God"

Higher Conciousness

So i've hit this road block in my life, i've actually hit it many times before, only now i'm awake and can finally do something about it. There are so many things I want to know and spiritual practices i want to master and so far I have not found anyone willing to pay me to just live my life. I think that should be a job, just living. I want someone to pay me to mess up and pick myself back up again, to drink and forget and remember to never do that again, to love, get my heart broken and somehow find the strength to do it again, and to do all those things that teach you valuable lessons in life that you forget as soon as you've moved on, without even realizing those things add up to your life journey as a human being. What if i said i wanted to read, eat raw food, dance, meditate, be a life coach, learn the power of crystals, shop, have an organic garden, love, hike, recycle, save the rainforest, go to Agape, become more myself everyday and continue on a path to higher conciousness, would anyone pay me to do that ??

The better question should be, do all those things make up who i think i want to be?? If i did do all those things would they make me happy?? Maybe being un-attached to the outcome is the real answer, just being present and going with the flow of life.

I believe in energy. Raw, full of zest, pungent, good, organic pure energy. The kind of energy that brings tears to your eyes without you even knowing why, makes your hands shake and your voice all squeeky. You get glimpses of this on your wedding day or performing on stage, winning a prize and making love for the first time. What would it take to live with that feeling everyday all day?? To embody that feeling ?? To understand that it's not just a feeling but a way of living and a state of being. To understand that this is what "heaven on earth" is. Who doesn't want that kind of steady, calm peace within ??
